As the host I do hope that it is not left to me to be the judge and official testicle checker. :icon_biggrin:

A Boxing Day BBQ would be great! But what "skill" could I bring? In my past I have been a statistician, so if the testicle measurements go ahead, I could analyse the results. We could include each person's age, weight, beer drinking index, number of balipod posts, a measure of introvert/extrovert, etc. Maybe we will uncover some amazing connections.
goldminer
See goldminer that's where I start to get agressive when people threaten me with violence - I don't find it amusing. I have never seen this as a boys-together testicle size measuring test but more as an attempt to:1) manipulate me into some behaviour that you wish thru fear of injury or violence.2) or to show everyone else what a hell of a man you are.Which is it? Because both sadly fail - My balls are bigger than yours, I'm better at everything in life than you are, I'm much smarter and probably smell better too and if that's your picture - I'm way better looking.Such is life and it will always be so.
Threats? Violence? I dont see any of that in my post at all. For all you know, i could have been a chef in the army, just wanting to cook your boxing day steak to perfection. Maybe you have guilty conscience, or just plain scared.:highly_amused:Anyway, ask me old mate, no idea about my army "skills". You can get as agressive as you like with me, ya dick! :icon_biggrin:
Liebling
Markit, you have now asked everyone on this forum to cook for you. At this rate you will be fading away to just skin and bones. Call through Sanur and I will get the barbecue heated up for you. Your job is to keep the beer supply running at a regular pace. I will look after the steak, sausages, spare ribs, mushrooms and potatoes. The barbecue is a beauty, stainless steel, four burner, stainless hood. I bought it for 450,000 from a chap who did not realise the burner has air vents at the front. Please do not in any way confuse this with an offer of marriage or even friendship. It is just a simple gesture from one slightly demented person to another.
Bloody hilarious!! This really made me laugh! You guys!!

Rhys, the barbecue is still happening. Any one is welcome to turn up. The mention of barbecue and beer brings the Sanur expat crew out out of the trees very quickly.I will PM you.

So, Boxing Day, 26th December seems to be the consensus. @No.idea ... what time and exactly where?

Newbies will be made welcome. Do not hesitate to stroll in. There will possibly be a mixed crew of tourists, Sanur expats and Balipod members. I have managed to commandeer the barbecue at Mangrove Sanctuary on Jalan Tirta Empul, Mertasari, Sanur. A map can be found on this web site Sanur Beach Villas Group Bali AccommodationLet us look at any time on from 1 PM.

Thanks no.idea for a great afternoon with good company. It was disappointing that balipodders were mostly missing.
matsaleh
Sorry I couldn't make it ronb and no.idea :apologetic: ...just too busy. There's always next time.
balibule
Maybe do it in the weekend next time?

infoThanks no.idea for a great afternoon with good company. It was disappointing that balipodders were mostly missing.
Well Ron,please give us some info who was there. Can he walk upright now?
ronb
The only balipodders were no.idea and me. The other people included expats from Sanur or nearby and Aussie tourists. I left in the late afternoon and my recollection was that I was upright. There was enough beer to keep the party going half the night, so no.idea will need to report on his uprightness late in the evening.

uprightThanks Ron,but i was not referring to you.The original idea of this meeting was, according to the host,to see if he and Rhys could teach a certain pod member to walk upright, without using his front paws.
matf
well that thread went on tangent
Barekarma
Newbe meet up?Hi Matt,I noticed your posting, which 'went a bit tangent'. I tried to follow the thread, and I think I agree. Do I understand that you wanted to meet-up with other Balipod members, just to match posts with faces? If so, may be there is a new thread here. I am a new member of the forum (albeit I have been in Bali for one year), not found out how to put a pic up yet...that new! But meeting new people is always welcome. So maybe this thread can start again. What do you think?Barekarma
